Lo-Melkhiin killed three hundred girls before he came to her village, looking for a wife.
When she sees the dust cloud on the horizon, she knows he has arrived. She knows he will want the loveliest girl: her sister. She vows she will not let her be next. And so she is taken in her sister's place, and she believes death will soon follow. lo-Melkhiin's court is a dangerous palace filled with pretty hints: intricate statues with wretched eyes, exquisite threads to weave the most beautiful garments. She sees everything as if for the last time. But the first sun rises and sets, and she is not dead. Night after night, Lo-Melkhiin comes to hear and listen to her stories she tells and day after day she is awoken by the sunrise. Exploring the palace, she begins to unlock years of fear that have tormented and silenced a kingdom. Lo-Melkhiin was not always a cruel ruler. Something went wrong....

Way i am waiting....

I know that there a few retellings of how "One thousand and one night" or the "Arabian nights" or what ever the heck that book is called where you live, the latest and most talked about clearly being "The Wrath and the Dawn.
I have not read that one.

But i am really excited to read this.

For one because the cover is so beautiful! I mean look at it! It looks like a fairytale!
And it took me a while to see the woman in the dress. I love covers that i have to look a few times to see everything.

And then this version sounds interesting. it is not the typical -she was the most beautiful one of all the land- but that she saves her sister. That the main character would rather give herself up then let her sister die. To me that sounds like an interesting character.

All in all to me this story just sounds interest. And like a good spin on the often used version of how those stories of Thousand and one night came into existence. And i can't wait to start reading this beauty!

What about you guys?

Any new releases you are excited for and can't wait to get your hands on?

let me know :)

Write more later...
