Top 10 Tuesday: Debut Authors of 2015 i want to read before they publish their next book

Could i have made the title any longer?

Probably, but i try not to.

Okay so the original topic over at Brokeandbookish.com is actually to talk about the Debut authors read this year that you can't wait to see what else their write.

And while I did read a few Debut books this year, I either know when the next book will come out, because i read the first of a series and the next book publication date is already known, or i read authors that Debut Authors but have already said that their next book is in the works.

Or to say it shorter: i read Debut authors but for most of them the next book is already known and so the actual anticipation is just for the actual book and no longer for what they will write next.

So instead i will write about all those new Debuts of this year that i want to read, but haven't yet.

The first 5 are "Adult", the last five "Young Adult".

1. Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry

This is book has been talked about a lot, especially on Booktube. But actually I feel in love with the cover. And the story itself sounds interesting as well with taking place in 1895 in New York and is about a man that finds an abandoned newborn baby and wants to find out where the baby belongs. And from there out on the story evolves in some way to include the Coney Island magic show. I have no idea, i haven't read it yet. It just looks fantastic and like something if it is done right, i will really love.

2. Gold Fame Citrus by Claire Vaye Watkins
This is a marketed as a devastatingly imagined near future love story. And the cover is really interesting. So i want to read it.

3. Local Girls by Caroline Zancan
In this book there are three best friends that know each other for most of their lives, as they grew up together in a dead-end Florida town and how their love and loyalty to each other shapes their lives.
I am always in search of a good female-friendship book. And this sound like it has that kind of thing. So i can't wait to read it!

4. Barbara the Slut by Lauren Holmes
This is a story where world collide in a fresh imaginative way, apparently. It is a darkly funny debut collection about family, friends and lovers. As far as i understand this is a short-story collection about different aspects of life, like the woman that takes a job selling sex toys to be able to study law. And the woman that realizes that she prefers the company of her pit bull over anyone else. This just sound like a good book just about life. And i enjoy those.

5. House of Echoes by Brendan Duffy
This is a apparently an enthralling and atmospheric thriller, about two people that hope to start over. But clearly something goes wrong. Because this is a thriller. So this will most likely be not a happy ever after for those two people. Still the cover is perfect for an atmospheric thriller. And who doesn't love a good new thriller writer?

6. Mosquitoland by David Arnold

This is a road trip book. And i kind of love those. Not that i have read a lot of them before. But the cover is beautiful. And it is about a girl traveling across the US to her sick mother. It just sounds great.

7. 5 to 1 by Holly Bodger

This just looks fantastic. And sounds really nice. And who doesn't love this kind of different dystopian book?

8. For the Record by Charlotte Huang

This is a book celebrating music, friendships and life on the road.
And yeah that is everything i know about it. And i want to read it.
It comes out November 15th.

9. Crow's rest by Angelica R. Jackson

This is a contemporary book about a girl that visits her uncle and finds her yearly summer crush on the boy next door to be as she left him last summer, but instead she finds that someone has taken his place. And in her search to try and find him again, she gets plunged into a world of Fae and changelings.
This just sounds interesting. And honestly as if it could be a fantastic story or as if i could be horrible. But still i did not hear a lot or anything at all about this author and it sounds interest. So i want to read it.

10. The Next Together by Lauren James

This is a book i have already talked about, about two teenagers that get reborn time and time again, and hope to find a why to find their happily ever after.

So those are all of the Debut Books of this year that i really hope to read very soon. Once i win in the lottery and can buy all the books i wish to own. Or move to a country where i have a library that has actually new releases available instead of only books that are at least one year old. Which ever one comes first.

I would love to hear from you if any of you read any of those books. Or if you have any Debut books to recommend!

Let me know!

Write more later...
