Top 10 Tuesday: Books made me do it!

Confession:
I read a lot of books about topics i have interest in or about things i really, really want to do but never ever do but you know i read about it. That is kind of the same thing, right? Right.

There is also the rare occasion that i actually read book about a topic i don't have an interested in before starting to read the book (that only happens rarely because i honestly just have a too widely stretched interest range, its bad and a problem and comparable to a three year old) i love to add a new interest to the never ending and always growing list of interesting things that i just have to learn more about and because of that need to read more about!

I am rambling again... not that that is something new.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Brokeandbookish.com, so clearly not my idea!

Lets move on to the actual topic and ramble about that instead:

First things i really want to do because of books:

1. Have an epic vacation

2. Have cute hopefully fun dates

3. Do something crazy and fun with friends

4. Have a road-trip through the US (or just visit the US for the matter)

5. Learn very important skills -such as building electric stuff (like robots! because those are important!) or fighting skills to be able to fight of bad guys... or something

6. Find a wonderful group of friends that are actual and real friends

And then things i really want to learn because of books:

7. More languages, all the languages

This is two fold.
The first and biggest thing is that i really, really want to learn more languages so that i can read more books in their originally written language because i LOVE reading books as the author actually wrote them instead of translations. the saying "lost in translation" is no joke, people!
And then i always love character that just speak a handful of languages simply because they want to. How great are those?

8. Just have fun!

I have a problem just letting go and doing something because it is fun or because i love doing it. And there are so many books that have all those really fun moments where characters just let loose and do what they want just because it is fun.
I always read those moments and always think: i want to learn how to do that!
Which might defeat the entire purpose of it because those moments are all about being spontaneous and not planing and learning and just doing. So really, how can you learn to do that? But who knows.
maybe one of those days i will find a book that is all about learning how to be spontaneous and do the fun things.

9. Continue being curious

That is just an overall book thing not a specific book type of thing.
But i just enjoy character that are curious and learn no matter where they are or what kind of live they are currently have. And who doesn't love learning. And since that mostly involves more books, i am all for it!

10. Follow my dream

Have any of you guys read those books where people in books just follow their dreams and actually manage to achieve them? And then you think? I could do that too, right?
But then you never do anything to make your dreams come true?
I would love to learn to actually do what all those very brave characters do and follow my dreams, work to accomplish what i really want to do and just be happy with that!
Also if you know any books like that, please let me know i love those books!

Books as listed:
Love & Gelato  | Wanderlost  | Manhunting  | Anna and the french kiss  | Almost perfect  | The night we said yes  | Amy & Rogers epic road trip  | In real life  | Stitching Snow  | Legend  | The Group  | Under a painted Sky  | The Seamstress  | Anna Karenina  | Since you've been gone  | When we collided  | Heidi  | Harry Potter  | A Natural History of Dragons  | Out of the Easy

Long rambly and book filled list.
What about you guys?
Have you guys done this list?
Want to share some fun things you did because of books? Or want to do because of books?

Let me know, lets chat!

Write more later...

  1. I LOVE this list and what an array of wonderful books! I think all of those things along with time traveling and becoming a good chef (Coincidence of Coconut Cake) would make my list, too. Sadly, I didn't participate this week in TTT because of another scheduled post. :(

  2. Your post was utterly delightful to read. I love your 'to do' list - many them are quite achievable. Hope you will get to do them all. I've listed The Group on my TBR list, seems like a lovely read. Here's my Top Ten Tuesday! http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/07/top-ten-tuesday-to-do-or-not-to-do.html
